2010 was the only year that the conference was held over 2 days.

Working with Self Harm and Suicide online

We will discuss some of the ethical and clinical issues this raises for us as therapists
and share with you the policies and process we have developed around this work.
Sally is currently undertaking MSc research in this area of work with young people
and will share some of her preliminary findings.

Does online counselling work? Reviewing the research into outcomes and alliances

As online counselling develops as a means of offering therapeutic suppport, is there
really any evidence to back up this movement? This presentation reflects upon the
research that presently enters into this territory. Specifically it will reflect upon a
recent review of the quantitative literature into therapeutic outcomes and alliances.

 

Sally Aldridge (BACP)
Regulation of counselling and psychotherapy

This presentation will look at the history and nature of the regulation of counselling
and psychotherapy in the UK. It will outline the process and consider the
implications for individual practitioners.

Looking for Change using Family Mapping online: a ‘Relate for Parents’ activity
