Title of presentation: From Digital Natives to the iGeneration. Children and Young People Online

Children and Young People are immersed in the digital world and have used their familiarity with it to engage with professionals online particular when they feel distressed.  In this presentation, Sally with talk about the potential and challenges of working with this client group.

Sally has extensive experience of working with CYP both online and offline for numerous organisations including 42nd Street, Brook and Kooth.com.  She has supervised and trained online practitioners’; presented at BACP and UKCP conferences on CYP’s counselling online as well as having undertaken research which has been published on the subject of  CYP’s use of Cyberspace to discuss suicide ideation .  She was part of the BACP Expert Reference Group which drew up the recently published professional competencies for “Working at a Distance”.

Sally is an independent practitioner in private practice providing therapy, supervision and consultation.
